A documentary series

Muskoka Folk

Lake stories from Muskoka, told by the people who live them.

About the series

One person. One object. Their own words.

Muskoka Folk is a small documentary series about the people who live on Muskoka’s lakes and in its towns.

Each story starts with a short conversation about one thing in their home they would never let go of, how they came by it, and what was happening in their life at the time.

Every guest reads their story before it goes up, and chooses how they are named. Muskoka Folk has no sponsors and no ads.

Fire, wind & snow.

A woodstove crackle, wind in the white pines, and how hard it snows. Sound stays off until you turn it on.

The stove is just lit.
